Ensure that your appliance’s gas supply valve is open if your gas stove not lighting. This valve should be at a right angle to the direction of the pipe carrying the gas. It’s worth mentioning that even a small knock can cause it to close, hence making the device stop operating.

You can clean it with chrome cleaner. But it is better to seek professional help as blockage of burner holes and grooves can lead to complications.

It is very important to inspect and service home appliances at regular intervals. Though the time duration for inspection varies for each appliance, the recommended inspection should be atleast once in a year.
